Yellow mission marker
The Yellow Mission is usually the third or fourth mission unlocked during the game. It is not found in the Original Edition of the game, as it was added in the Omega Edition of the game.
Storyline/Plot[]
An abandoned ship with 140 Humans in deep cryonic slumber will be found on the journey to the yellow marker system (usually around halfway through that journey). After a cut-scene a yellow marker will appear around the farthest system. This yellow marker is south from the red marker and can only be reached through a Black Hole. A wormhole generator will be needed (and the death seed if a black hole is not there) to warp to the black hole next the yellow marker system. Then it's a very small jump to the final star system. The yellow marker system contains a yellow dwarf orbited by a rocky planet. The planet will be terraformed via a life seed (the elements can be mined for on the planet). After terraforming the planet landing on the now garden planet will trigger the endgame (humans will be needed on board to do so). The planet becomes the new home for humanity, distant enough to be safe from the dangers of the universe. The astronaut retreats into a state of self-exile, while his logbook is left for the other remnants of humanity. He does this in the hope they will come looking for him, so they can unite with other aliens to defeat the force that drove humanity into isolation.
